Dearest friends,

For my birthday this year, I need your support in helping the children of the Swabi School continue their education and access this special community and safe space we've created. This project, the very first girls’ school in my home village, was founded by three generations of visionary women. My grandmother, my mother, and myself.

The school has grown significantly since the last campaign my best friend Anya Raza and I launched, but over the years we’ve struggled to stay afloat. We’ve been able to assess what’s needed and learn tremendously along the way.

One thing is evident. The children and their families are starting to see the value of an education and want to invest in their children's futures.

With your support, we have the ability to create a real impact in supporting children who would otherwise be vulnerable to physical, psychological, sexual, and economic exploitation, early child marriage, child labor, and malnutrition.

Growing up in this village and having witnessed the dire need for an education, I realize now is the time to ensure that children not only have access to a school but also one where critical thinking, freedom of expression, and the arts are integrated into curricula. We want to set these beautiful children up for success.

Through the constant donations of a loyal group of supporters we've been able to stay afloat, but with rising inflation and economic uncertainty in Pakistan, we need additional support for these items for the following school year:

Building and Construction Costs: Classrooms, roof, play & study area, kitchen, bathroom and fixing the overall structure: ($10,000)
