Dive Into Discovery: Help Us Bring Environmental Education to All Torbay Primary Schools!

We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary collaboration with JP, an endurance swimmer whose passion for our oceans matches our own commitment to educating the next generation about the wonders of the natural world. Together, we aim to raise essential funds to expand The Cove Discovery Project's Environmental Education Programmes, making them accessible to every primary school in Torbay—completely free of charge!

This is an epic challenge: JP will embark on a solo 20km swim around the breathtaking Torbay coastline, starting at Hopes Nose, Torquay, and making his way around the bay to Berry Head before finishing with a triumphant arrival at Breakwater Beach, Brixham. This is a significant swim; it’s a testament to endurance, dedication, and the powerful connection between people and the sea. Supported by The Cove's safety boat, which provides route guidance and ensures JP's safety, this swim will see JP strive to complete the journey without any contact with the boat—purely powered by his own determination. It’s not a competition; it’s an inspiring solo challenge that embodies the spirit of our cause.

The funds raised from this incredible event will directly support our schools programmes, where we bring Torbay’s coastal wildlife and habitats to life for young minds through dynamic presentations, engaging workshops, and unforgettable field trips. A highlight of our offerings is the 'Beach Lab,' a hands-on science-based outdoor activity that never fails to ignite curiosity and excitement in children.
