The Tafoya Family
As many of you know my Uncle, Daniel Tafoya, recently passed away. He as well as his wife, Rachael, and two sons Wyatt and Garret recently contracted COVID-19. Unfortunately, after suffering a stroke he was hospitalized and after what felt like a very long three weeks of being in the hospital he passed away leaving behind his wife, Daughter (Patricia) and sons (Joe, Wyatt, and Garret).
Daniel was a loving father, husband, brother, cousin and friend to many. Anyone who knew him could tell you he was the life of the party and could always make you smile. He was the type that always valued respect and always welcomed everyone with open arms. He definitely left his mark even on those who only knew him as an acquaintance. He’s extroverted nature meant he could carry on a conversation with anyone and his smile was one you could never forget. More importantly though, Daniel worked very hard to do the best he could for his family. Unfortunately no matter how much you may try to prepare life doesn’t always cooperate. His absence leaves a void in all our hearts but especially his wife and children and as I’m sure you can imagine the grief alone is more than we’d want anyone to have to face.
This isn’t all that comes with the loss of a loved one though. After three weeks in the hospital, and the unplanned loss in income, the struggles of already all dealing with COVID and the financial cost to plan a funeral to honor this man who touched so many lived all adds extra stress. With this in mind some have asked how they can help. We are organizing this GoFundMe for this exact purpose. To help alleviate some of that financial burden since the grief is already hard enough and help to fill that gap left by a man larger than life.
We as well as the family are grateful for your generosity in this difficult time.
