The Tale of Aries

For starters, even if you are not able to donate- thank you for taking the time to read my family’s story. Hi my name is Aries and I’m three months old. I’m a little brother to a very spunky, active 15 month old boy, Zazen. Those of you who have been following my journey, hello again. For those who are new to my story- Welcome! All are invited to follow along. My mom even posts updates on my very own instagram called the @thetaleofaries. When I was 7 weeks old, I was diagnosed with a very rare syndrome called 5q31.3 microdeletion syndrome. I am the only one in my entire city and potentially the only in the state with my deletion. What does that exactly mean for me? It means many mysteries and trials ahead for me and my family. And while I strive in some areas even given this diagnosis, I struggle with other things like remembering to breathe. Tuesday, July 11th, I undergo my second surgery which is a bit more intense than my first. It will require my mom to give me lots and lots of love afterwards. And even though she really loves her work, I really would like for my mommy to be by my side to help me grow big, strong, and of course keep my airways safe when I come home. The first first 65 days of life I spent in the NICU at TMC, and after only just over a week home, I had to be admitted to the loving care of the nurses at Diamonds Children in the PICU. We’re already on my second week here, but I’m already rubbing off on the nurses with my big fluffy hair. In these difficult times, my mom hasn’t been able to focus on her business as much which has caused some financial issues for my family. While we are so grateful for every single client, unfortunately things are growing very hard on my mommy’s heart. On top of this, we are having to move! You see, I require a lot of equipment to keep me stable and what that means for my mom is that her casita rosita from the 1920s just won’t be safe for me anymore. It is my moms birthday coming next week, and if you would be willing to help her spend time with me and not be struggling even for a couple weeks- I would be an extra happy baby. Any donation helps support a small business owner and full time special needs mama. ♥️ Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for taking the time to read. You are appreciated in this difficult times.
