The Thacker family
Donation protected
On September 13th, 2020 Timothy Thacker passed away as a result of his ongoing battle with PTSD. Tim leaves behind his precious wife, Mandy and their combined eight children. (Justin, Kobe, Tristan, Bryson, Jordan, Cameron, Makenly, and Tyler) Tim honorably served 24 years in the U.S. Army and had retired in 2017. First and foremost, Tim loved his family, his country & the Kansas city Chiefs. He was a proud protector of not only his country, but his family as well.
The loss of their father is felt on an unimaginable scale because just three short years ago Cameron, Tristan, and Bryson also unexpectedly lost their mother. Cameron just started her freshman year of college at the University of Kansas.
The funds donated will be used to help offset the costs of travel for his wife and children when traveling to Kansas for the memorial services. All funds outside of that will help this family as a whole, with there now being only one income. All funds will go directly to Mandy Thacker.
Unfortunately depression can claim the lives of the strongest and bravest hero's of our country. Mental illness is not uncommon among combat veterans, and even though billions of dollars have been spent to assist the VA in helping veterans, the suicide rates have not gone down.
