The Theatre Masters Marathon

Carpe Diem Friends!
This motto has been my personal mantra for over a decade. It has led me in and out of many adventures and has prompted this new chapter. As a lifelong theatre kid, I always knew I would make a career in it. My ultimate goal is to establish a Catholic theatre ensemble that is dedicated to fostering Catholic creatives in a community unified in challenging audiences through Beauty. If we hope to restore the world and culture, Catholic creatives can no longer hide our light or talents.
Recently, I was notified that I had been accepted to the University of East Anglia’s Theatre Production Major in Norwich, England. Their department only accepts 6 or fewer students a year and it is a chance to study for 12 months at theatre’s beating heart. England is both a contemporary and traditional theatre haven. Not to mention the program opens doors to international connections, while deepening my understanding of humanity through the stories we tell. It is an unprecedented opportunity and a proper stepping stone.
In order to do so, I need a little help. Now I don't simply want to solicit, but invite you to join a journey.
This June 29th I will be uniting my two passions by running a personal marathon that I have dubbed, "The Masters Marathon." Over the next 8 weeks, I will be fundraising $6,000 to offset tuition costs.
Here is where you get involved:
For $20 I will offer a mile of the marathon for you and your special intention.
For $50 I will put your sponsorship on the back of a one-of-a-kind race t-shirt.
For $200 you will have the opportunity to select a monologue that I will recite and act during the marathon. Who wouldn't want that power?
Finally, for $500 I will run in Shakespearean garb for 26.2 miles. Honestly, I'd love to force someone to run a marathon wearing a headdress. Just saying.
Be sure to follow the marathon and theatrical journey on Instagram: @madeleinelucette. I will be providing updates on training, monologues, and UEA's program.
Hope on for the ride!
