Tina Butcher-Baker's battle with cancer

Hi, our name's are Elsa Ivy and Stacey Richards. We are creating this campaign for our lifelong Sister/BFF...

This goes out to our community with a cry for help for someone who has helped a considerable amount of people for well over 20 year's as a counselor, mentor, teacher and friend.

Our beloved friend has been diagnosed with “Metastasized Breast Cancer”,

So, we are asking our friends, community and over all, those that have crossed her path to help us help her through treacherous journey.

Here’s her story:

She’s a lot like us. She’s the type of person who thought, “this will never happen to me, know known cancer in family and this kinda thing happens to other people". She put off her mammogram's for 10 year's and then BAM!!! On 7/12/22 became the day her life changed forever

The meeting with the Oncologists and many Dr.s is leading to complete breast removal, lymph node's removed, chemo, radiation, and many surgeries and invasive procedures that are already underway, with many, many more exhausting trips back and forth to hospitals and surgical centers.

At this point the diagnosis is pretty scary for her and looking to be exponentially expensive.

We are terrified for her, and she is worried about how she's gonna battle cancer and afford to maintain financial responsabilities, day to day living costs and cancers additional demands with travel, lodging and the medical bills not covered by insurance..

Let's help this amazing woman??

Our friend Tina Butcher (Baker) has served within the capacity of a beloved "Counselor" and community servant for a good portion of her life...

She has literally touched 100’s of people with her loving and compassionate ways.

She has tirelessly served this community as a trusted mentor, friend, mother and "Addiction Specialist".

We feel as though it is our and your turn to hold space for her, and give her the same love, compassion and presence that she has selflessly poured into this community…

We can seriously say, that she is one of the most amazing people we've ever met!!

We are pleading with all of you to help us help our friend.!!!

My story is: I've known her for thirty years, and I can t even begin to tell you how many times she has helped me in all areas of my life.

In order for her to make this journey happen, we need to reach into our pockets and dig deep, because many of the expenses that will be incurred are "NOT" covered by insurance, and she is unable to maintain the physical work that supports herself, so there is no income due to the breast cancer diagnosis.

This woman is my hero, and she has probably helped many of your family members or all whose had problems with substance abuse or those afflicted by another's addiction.

She is a “helper” Now its time for us to “help the helper”

We are starting our fundraising goal at $20, 000.00, We feel like this is a good start, because with this type of cancer, treatments can be arduous, costly, and long standing...
