The tragic loss of Kelsey Mulrooney
Donation protected
On Monday, April 19th, our beloved friend, Kelsey Mulrooney, passed away due to complications stemming from an internal infection. She fought bravely for 3 weeks, but ultimately her body gave out. This would be heartbreaking under any circumstances, but is especially wrenching because she was only 33 years old.
Her fiancé, Matthew Dittmann, was by her side the entire time she was in the hospital, and is beyond devastated to have lost the love of his life after 14 years together.
Over the last 5 years, the two of them had become the face of both locations of Crawford's. Kelsey took great pride in serving the community and befriending regulars, and was bartending at Beverly right up until she went to the emergency room a few weeks ago.
Kelsey's positivity and joy extended beyond her Crawford's regulars to all that met her, and her kindness and warmth will always be remembered.
So many people have asked what they can do, and so we are putting this fund together to help Matt as he works through his grief and pain that comes with losing a loved one. On the heels of this Covid pandemic, it had already been an incredibly brutal year for Matt and Kelsey. They were forced to close Crawford's for several months and both of them lost not only their livelihood and income but also their health insurance.
Most of us are all too familiar with the staggering costs of our current medical system, and Matt faces the costs of the arrangements he must make now as well. We hope this will be a tangible way we can help him honor her memory.
Thank you,
Dustin
