The Tremblay Mills Family

Michelle Tremblay Mills lost her husband in a workplace accident on March 28, 2022. The company, Saturn Tool and Dye in Oldcastle, ON, near Windsor was recently found guilty of 5 workplace safety violations causing his death. The company was fined $180,000 plus a 25% surcharge levy on top of that.

This money goes to community services and a government fund for victims of crime. The Tremblay Mills family receives none of it. They also cannot sue the company as it became a WSIB claim.

Michelle did receive a small compensation from WSIB but nowhere near enough to make up for the loss of her husband, his wages and his benefits. As a home daycare provider she is struggling to make ends meet and needs help to fix several things in her home, which is an older home and has need of repairs.
