The Ultimate Tip Jar- Vanille Patisserie
Donation protected
For those of you that don't know me, My name is Sophie Evanoff, and I am president and owner of Vanille Patisserie. We are a French bakery located in the heart of Chicago.
We are passionate about pastry and service. Since I have owned Vanille we have a stick policy to never solicit tips. We’ve taken the tip line off of our credit card receipts and discouraged tip jars because I believe good service is part of our job and everyone deserves good service without the expectation of leaving a tip.
During the economic and heath crisis the hospitality industry is facing, we decided to permanently close a location, and only operate out of one store. We are trying our best to keep our management team afloat along with our dishwasher who has been here for 20 years. For the other employees on furlough, we are asking for you support.
For all the times you have visited our shop, and enjoyed the pastry and service, Please consider tipping NOW. We are hoping to raise money to help support our hourly employees, our Patisserie Specialists, pastry cooks and cake decorators. We are setting a goal of offering $500 to each of our hourly workers while they are on unpaid leave. We are continuing to honor their benefits, and hope to have them back as soon as possible. However, we know that this unprecedented situation is an extremely challenging one for them and that they are among the most vulnerable. We want to do all we can to make sure they can make their rent and buy groceries.
Whatever amount raised will be divided among the hourly team members evenly.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to making more memories with you at Vanille!
