The Unexpected Departure of Olayinka Shoniregun

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our beloved mother, Olayinka Shoniregun, passed away on May 19th, 2020 from complications due to diabetes and a heart attack. She left behind her husband, four beautiful daughters, a son, three siblings, family members, and friends.
During this pandemic, Olayinka was an essential worker on the front line, helping to fight for the lives of ill COVID-19 patients. For Olayinka, with all her heath issues, to still put her patients and others first, is a testament to the type of selfless person she was. She missed many holidays with her family, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, to work with her patients. She lost her life fighting to save the lives of others.
Olayinka was the pillar and rock of her family. She was a devoted Christian and raised her children in the faith. She loved her family deeply, was passionate about her work, and truly loved God.
Olayinka's departure is a devastating blow to her children and all who loved her. At this time, we ask for your prayers and financial support. Traditionally, we can mourn together when we lose family members; unfortunately, during these unprecedented times, we cannot do that. Her family, in particular, the children she's left behind, are still dealing with the grief of losing their mother, friend, and support system. Attempting to preparing for the unexpected cost of laying their mother to rest is a very trying process during this very difficult period. To help alleviate some of the worry and fear of being alone while they are grieving the loss of the primary provider for their household, we hope to provide her five children with a few months of financial stability after this tragic loss.
It is our hope that we can lay Olayinka to rest, in the next few weeks. We are sincerely thankful for any donations provided as we prepare to say our goodbyes and bury our beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. We do understand that everyone may not be in the position to contribute financially. You can help us reach our goal by also sharing this with your friends and family.
With love and gratitude,
The family and friends of Olayinka Shoniregun
