The immeasurable & unexpected tragedy of suicide.

After years of depression, alcoholism, physical ailments and financial worries, in an act of despair, on Christmas Eve, while celebrating with family, Spencer Guy Woolsey, age 54, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather and brother took his own life. His devoted wife, Eliane, is left to pick up the pieces not only emotionally but financially and she needs help.
Spencer was my younger brother and he was always quite a character.and very loving. He was usually upbeat and had an outrageous sense of humor. Unfortunately, he had shared with us that he felt quite withdrawn in social situations unless he drank. He was never able to bring his introverted side and his gregarious outgoing side together in a healthy integration.
His departure was abrupt and shocking. Although he put on a brave face for the most part, in the end, his desperation was understandable, considering how fragmented and tortured he must have felt, to take such drastic action.
In their marriage, Spencer was the one who handled the finances. Although they both worked, Spencer was the major breadwinner. His death has left his wife to deal with a twice refinanced mortgage on the house and monthly bills she will be hard pressed to stay on top of. She needs financial help asap to deal with the costs of his cremation too.
The family is hoping that this campaign will give her some respite from the financial stresses of this devastating experience as she tries to heal and carry on in life without him.
Thank you for taking the time to consider her sad plight and giving what you can. <3 :-(
