The Van Richards Fight

In August 2022, Van was diagnosed with Chronic Moyeloid Leukemia. He was off work for quite some time without pay. He routinely has doctor's appointments and has daily medication he must take, which is very expensive. This medication is not covered by insurance and is paid for out of pocket. Van has accumulated an extensive amount of medical bills due to prior ER visits that his insurance refused to cover because of a lack of diagnosis. Van has reached out to various Leukemia foundations to assist with medical bills and medication expenses, but due to it being the end of the fiscal year funding/assistance is/was unavailable.

Van is a father of three young adult children, one of which resides with him. Van is employed, however, no one can ever plan to cover the vast expenses due to a diagnosis such as he has received. Oftentimes, Van is unable to complete a full day's work due to the pain from the Leukemia and medication.

Your help relieving the financial burdens would be greatly appreciated. It would make an already very stressful situation, a little less stressful, and allow him to focus on fighting the disease.
