The victims of Cyclone Mocha
Donation protected
Hello everyone
In May 2023 Cyclone Mocha hit the West coast of Myanmar wiping out many villages and towns in it's path. Over 90% of the capital, Sittwe, has been destroyed and must be rebuilt by people with very few resources who are struggling to survive day to day.
Many people living on Koh Phangan are from the region affected including to of our amazing staff, Lung Cho and Joey. When the cyclone hit they could not contact their families for days. Now they have learned that their villages and every structure in them have been totally destroyed. This is on top of the fact that the people of Myanmar are already going through a really, really tough time under military oppression.
Because these guys are legends we have decided to try to help. For the next week Tiki are raising funds to help the people of Rakhine State. Starting with an event on Sunday 18th June we will be offering great prizes, selling clothes and handmade crafts. If you are around pop into Tiki Beach or just make a contribution via this 'gofundme' page.
Anything you can do will be a huge help to those is need at this time.
