Derek and Kellye Vierling appreciation page

Hello all fellow Bearcat soccer friends,

I am creating this gofundme page to help a couple of amazing people who have been so influential in all our lives, Derek and his amazing wife Kellye Vierling.

You might or might not already know this, but Derek and his wife have both undergone significant health battles in recent times and it is now impacting Derek's livlihood and ability to continue to do what he loves to do, coach soccer and teach at Aledo High School. For the past 21 years, since the start of the Aledo soccer program, Derek has been the one constant. He has impacted so many of your lives in so many positive ways, just as he has done mine, and now its time for us to give back to him in any way we can. We have never experienced Aledo soccer without Derek at the helm, and it pains me to think that he might not be able to take part this season while he fights his biggest battle yet.

Derek and Kellye are strong people with an unshakable character and while I'm sure they would never ask anyone for money or resources, I believe it is our duty as his friends and loved ones to interpret what we can and help them in any way possible, as they face their biggest life challenge. I would never presume to know what a person's financial situation might be, but having been in the healthcare indisutry for many years now, I know that it is an expensive burden to have to bear, and can lead to unnecessary stress. Stress is the last thing one should worry about when they fight to get healthy.
