The Vimy Flute: 100 Years

Welcome to my Gofundme page and I hope I can capture your attention as I share my goal to honor our fallen Canadian Soldiers in a very unique way. I am currently having a special flute made for this purpose. What will make this flute so special is that it is being made from an incredibly rare wood whose origins come from an oak tree which was decimated during the battle of Vimy Ridge almost 100 years ago. For years playing the song 'Amazing Grace' on the Vimy memorial has been a goal of mine. On April 9th, 2017 at the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. On this day I will be finding my way to the monument and playing this song. 
 

What I am hoping to use any donations for is the cost of obtaining a portible wireless microphone and mixer so that I may play outdoor to an large audiences.  Also I hope to get camera with stabilization to capture the flute being played at events and the several major monuments to share the experience with all those interested.  Any funds above what I need for the purpose of honoring the soldiers at Vimy will be passed on to the Vimy Oak Foundation and the Veterans foodbank in Calgary.
