The Vivian R. Flores Memorial Scholarship

Vivacious. Kind. Gentle. Driven. Giving. Loving. These are just some of the words we use to describe the person that our darling Vivian Renee Flores was. On Thursday, June 2, she was taken from us far too soon, just a few days after her 21st birthday. If you were one of the privileged to have met or known her, then you knew you were in the presence of a beautiful soul, a bright star who left an indelible mark on everyone she came in contact with. She had a laugh that made you laugh; her smile was big and radiant, and her dance moves were second to none. She was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord more than anything, so we know she is in a much better place.

Vivian was an accomplished violinist and student, and was pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. We are using this platform to raise funds for The Vivian R. Flores Memorial Scholarship, an annual memorial scholarship her family is establishing for students accepted into the veterinary program at Iowa State. She loved her school and was so passionate about helping animals -- with a particular fondness for cows! -- and we know she would be overjoyed to know that we are going to help other students carry that passion on in her name.
