The walls of Old Grantsville Church need help!

After the Magna earthquake in 2020, The Old Grantsville Church developed some cracks in the exterior stucco of the chapel's walls. Most notable are the cracks on the north and south walls of the building. There are several minor cracks on the east wall as well. In addition, there is a bulge forming under the northeast window on the front of the building. As many of you know, when we first bought the building, the west wall needed some major work done, and it took all of a construction loan and our savings to get it fixed. Since then, we have put pretty much all we have into maintaining the building and the grounds and producing community dinner theatre productions, concerts and a venue for family parties and events for the town and the surrounding community. Thanks to mother nature, we now have some repairs that are beyond our bank account's capacity. Abstract Masonry and Restoration, who did the repairs for us before, gave us an estimate of $22,000 - $65,000 to make the needed repairs. We have been rewarded a matching grant from the Tooele County Council and Tourism Tax Advisory Board of $25,000, so we need to come up with a possible $25,000 or more to complete the project. That is where we need your help. If you have attended any of the plays, concerts or children's theatre productions here and would like to see them continue, your help is needed.
