'The Wanderer' - a Sydney-based Short Film

Hello, friends and family! My name is Stella and I am producing a short film called ‘The Wanderer’, written and to be directed by Sydney-based director Charlie Laing.

‘The Wanderer’ follows Jeff Gizzard, a renowned Australian painter who died in 1969, as he rises from his grave on January 26, 2024, after Death grants him 24 hours of renewed life. ‘The Wanderer’ is a stark, bleak portrait of modern day Australia, a lost nation, blinded by consumption and rife with cultural division.

‘The Wanderer’ is currently in it’s pre-production stages, and to combat the roadblocks of independent, self-funded filmmaking we are asking you to help us bring this project to fruition. We understand that this is a tough ask during a cost of living crisis, so we are only asking for as little or as much help as you are willing to spare. No donation is too little.
