The Wellness Farm

Donation protected
Imagine the wind waving in the tall grass, the sounds of farm animals, rustling leaves. Nature is the true healer, and we are partnering up with Mother Earth to create The Wellness Farm on a 2.5-acre property in Bluffdale, Utah.

With stunning views of the Wasatch Front and quick accessibility from both Utah and Salt Lake Counties, this property is a true oasis in the city to nurture the whole person.

The Wellness Farm, opening in stages over the next year, is a retreat and wellness center offering counseling intensives, small group retreats, support groups, and workshops in a quiet and relaxing setting. The space creates an ideal ambiance for learning and growth including supporting guests healing from trauma, those moving through grief, and fostering lifelong practices which reduce stress, increase quality of life, and strengthen relationships.

Projects we are working on over the next year include creating a peace garden, an art studio, a butterfly greenhouse, a koi pond, a farm animal sanctuary, a walking path, and renovating the 5800 sq ft home for the retreat center.

In honor of our daughter’s 5th birthday, Everly Camille, who was stillborn on Thanksgiving morning in 2018, we have launched The Wellness Farm Foundation as a charity specifically to support grief, trauma, and difficult life transitions.

It takes a village! A project of this magnitude requires community partnerships, sponsorships, donations and volunteer support. We are inviting those who are moved by the cause to donate here and get involved by contacting us through https://wellnessfarmut.com/.

History of The Wellness Farm

My name is Camille Hawkins and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I’ve been working in Utah’s social service industry for the past 15 years. After struggling with infertility personally, I started a support group in 2014 which led to the creation of The Utah Infertility Resource Center (UIRC), a nonprofit organization. After adopting two daughters and spending three years establishing UIRC’s programs and administrative/financial foundation, I learned I was unexpectedly pregnant with a little girl. Shocked due to not having any successful pregnancies in 10 years of marriage, we were excited to add another daughter to our family.

On Thanksgiving morning in 2018, tragically our baby girl died and I gave birth to her lifeless body. I needed to take time off from working to focus on my grieving heart and helping my family heal from the trauma we had been through. When I was ready to work again, I decided to take it slow and start a counseling private practice in 2019. Over time, that grew and I eventually had a long waiting list. I decided to expand my practice in 2022 and started building a team of other therapists. I added a wellness arm as well as a corporate consulting arm in collaboration with my sister, Angie Van Wagoner who is a yoga therapist as well as my husband Palmer Hawkins who is a business/engineering operations executive and a senior business consultant.

In addition to being a nonprofit founder, I have worked for, volunteered for, and been a board member for several local nonprofit organizations. What I love more than anything is helping my community. I look forward to being able to do that in a special and meaningful way with The Wellness Farm.

No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to my GoFundMe.
