"The Whispers" - Short Film
Donation protected
The Whispers is a short horror film being produced by Saddleback College students. The film follows David Foster after he’s hired to find a missing woman who he suspects doesn’t exist. His investigation takes him to the dark underbelly of Los Angeles. While being burdened with survivors guilt from his time serving in the war in Afghanistan, he hopes for a life he can share with someone or a good death to share with his fallen brothers.
The intention of this film is to showcase the depths and complexities of trauma. In this case, post-war trauma. This film is inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft and also explores the horror of things beyond our own control. This will be the first major short film that is written and directed by Nicholas Stansell. The intent of this film is to move up to bigger and more detailed productions and use this as a proof of concept.
