The Whydah! - A Pirate Short film

Hi, my name is Mitchell Lippiatt, I am a filmmaking student at SAE Brisbane in West End. The Whydah! is my graduation and passion project, my team Nehal, Allan, Santiago, Weber and I are working towards building a final product which will be our stepping stone into the film industry, representing our years of hard work at university and a stand alone media artefact which we will be proud to look back on.

The Whydah! is a Pirate film about a man who was born into the world of piracy and sailing the seas, he is moulded and influenced by his Captain who teaches him the ways of life, being a strong man and freedom, but when he is lost overboard and rescued by another ship, he soon finds his beliefs and character challenged by this new Captain and crew as they reject basic morals, decency and relish the life of treachery and piracy.

This film is about building strong character and frame of mind, fostering a strong male mindset and rejecting the allure of crime and indecency.
