We are Bibi Masuma Ali-Mohsini and Ehsan Shahalami. On Saturday, August 6th, our brother-in-law Naeem Hussain was horrifically shot and killed in Albuquerque, NM. He had just left a meeting at the Lutheran Social Services, where he was a volunteer to help immigrants and refugees. Naeem was the fourth South Asian, Muslim man to be recently murdered in Albuquerque. The authorities and community believe that these murders are connected and could be hate crimes. Naeem was a loving and caring person who believed in helping others. Two weeks before his death, he had become a U.S. Citizen and he was so excited to start this next chapter in his young life. He leaves behind his wife and many family members. We are asking for donations to help with his funeral expenses and to provide some aid to his widow, who depended on his financial support. We deeply appreciate any help that you’re able to provide.
