The William Hum Family

Hello, my name is Alex Sohn, and I am asking for help for the family of William and Melissa Hum. As a concerned brother and uncle, I hope to assist them.

On January 07, 2024, my brother-in-law, William Hum, at the early age of 39, passed away suddenly in the emergency room. William was a great brother-in-law and a wonderful person. He always had a smile and had a positive outlook on the world. But more than anything, he was a loving husband and father.

With William's sudden passing, he has left behind his daughter, Isabella (3), and his son, Theodore (2). Along with his beloved children, my sister, Melissa, is pregnant with William's third child, who is to be due in late April 2024.

It has been challenging to explain to my niece and nephew how they were losing their father at a very young age. Due to their young age, the concept of passing does not register, but they can understand that their father is missing. As they both have learned to say "Dada" and "Papa," only tears can come into my eyes whenever they call for him.

I know what I can provide to my sister, niece, and nephew, but it is constrained. As a soldier in the United States Army, I have an obligation to the country and cannot support them 24/7, especially since I will be mobilizing again shortly. I have been pondering how to best help in a more practical way other than my heartfelt condolences.

I know that with Melissa's pregnancy, she will face many challenges, such as a loss of income, funeral expenses for William, medical bills, and what were monthly bills like mortgage will now become a worry.

I want to help relieve the worry of financial difficulties by launching this GoFundMe request. I humbly ask for your help, no matter how big or small, to help the Williams family at this terrible time in their young lives. I know William is watching over them from above, and the Lord always has a plan. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
