Hi,
My name is Jacqueline. Me and my friend Hallo decided that we would do better working together as entrepreneurs in the fashion industry.
We love our darkness. We love sharing it, too. Last year, we two friends looked at our separate endeavors and said, "You're awesome, you're my friend, let's be awesome and sprinkle bone dust and moonbeams around together."
It was a great idea. And we made it happen, too. Sadly, 2020 had other plans.
As female Elder Goths of Color, we're used to being overlooked, especially in a field filled with corporate junk and sweatshop knockoffs. We've never let this stop us before, and it hasn't stopped us yet.
Let's be honest, though: 2020 has been harder than anyone could have expected it to be, and our best efforts have us hanging on by our fingernails, providing for our families with every bit of energy we can grab. We have day jobs, and kids, and a vision that won't quit. We’re just asking for some assistance in us getting off the ground.
What we need is people to see us. To see what we're doing now, and to help us make that lovely dark future a reality for many years to come.
