The Yvette Shields Memorial Fund

Yvette Shields, longtime Bond Buyer reporter, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, died unexpectedly on July 19, 2023. She was 57. Beloved by all, she will be sorely missed.

Yvette is survived by her children Nora (27) and Wesley (16).

The family has set up the Yvette Shields Memorial Fund to primarily support Wesley's education.

Go Fund Me requires I disclose more information prior to it allowing withdrawal of funds. Wesley Alwin is the primary beneficiary of these funds. We will be setting up a brokerage account to hold the funds, at least until Wesley decides on his education path. In the meantime, Wesley will make his mom proud by learning to roll three and six-month treasury bills while dodging state taxes.
