The Zempel Family

Hi, my name is Serena Boerger and I am starting a go fund me for Thomas And his parents, Paige and Zach Zempel. Thomas is a year and a half old and recently got very sick. Doctors believe he has HUS, an infection in the kidneys due to E. Coli. He is currently in the ICU struggling to stay hydrated. Time is of the essence to try and get him better before having to possibly start dialysis. This fundraiser is going to go towards medical expenses, bills, gas and anything else necessary as they are missing a lot of work right now to be with him in the hospital. They could really use some prayers and love sent their way to get through these times.

UPDATE: from Paige and Zach

Quick update on Thomas:

He’s going back for surgery soon to get everything placed for dialysis and then he is starting dialysis today. They said the first day he will probably be sedated all day so he doesn’t move around and wreck something. We are hoping the dialysis won’t take long and he’ll be good as new soon.

We want to say thank you again for all the support, prayers, and donations. We sit here and feel like we don’t deserve so much generosity, but we appreciate it more than we can say. It makes this journey a little easier. Even though saying thank you just doesn’t seem like enough, we can’t say it enough.
