In Honor of Neusha's Light

If you know her - you LOVE HER. Neusha Raffijandi is a fighter, a wife, daughter, sister, auntie and dear friend to many!! The NEUSH. She’s also an incredible fundraiser who has generously shared her story with thousands and has helped raise a bunch of money annually for UCI Medical Center.

Neusha’s rare Stage IV Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma cancer diagnosis in February 2022 has taken her, her family and friends on a wild ride over the past 2.5 years. Every step of the way, Neusha has advocated for her health, advocated for her care and advocated for her insurance coverage. She is beating the odds and still fighting for her life as a Stage IV cancer patient because of her undeniable spirit paired with her brilliant and passionate oncologist and quality care team at UCI.

Here’s the update — Neusha’s health insurance is being forced to change and she and Anka will quickly be getting hit with out-of-pocket expenses. She will continue to need chemotherapy, possible surgeries and procedures to support her body in fighting off the cancer.

We all know how expensive medical bills can be. Many of us have no idea how overwhelming it is when they pile up. To be clear - She does have new insurance, but the coverage and benefits are changing drastically so they’ll have to make up the difference off of their one salary income.

As just a small group, among many, who love Neusha and Anka very much, our team at Kapture (Neusha’s previous work fam) often feel powerless in how we can help.
