Our very dear friend Conrad had a very serious accident September 26th.
Conrad was trimming trees and a branch fell and then boomeranged back and hit the ladder. He has a broken rib, broken vertebra and severely bruised tendons in his left arm. He is in a back brace and arm brace, doctors say it will be a long recovery ... 6 to 8 weeks.
Conrad is self employed and this time off work is going to really affect the family in a huge way, not to mention the medical bills that will start coming.
For those of you who know Conrad, there isn't anything he wouldn't do for you! Just ask, and he's there!
Here's a spot on description of Conrad by his daughter Leah:
~Our dad Conrad is far from your typical dad. If you have met him, you know how much of a character he is. He is arguably the most happy-go-lucky guy on the block.
You can find him any given afternoon jamming to music and hanging out at his bar in the garage. Better yet, put him on his boat and give him a beer and he will dance and serenade you until you he is blue in the face.
He has spent the last 30 years installing carpet all around Southwest Florida. Every day, he carries giant rolls of carpet over his shoulder by himself and "kicks" the carpet, often times in places that do not have the AC running (including during the summer).
He definitely works just as hard as he plays, and through his hard work, he has been able to build his own home and raise 4 kids alongside our mom Lynn. ~
Friends of the family got together and decided to set up this Go Fund Me account to show our love and appreciation for the Anklam's! Everyone knows how stressful life can be when the funds aren't there!
So please give what you can, no matter how small, every dollar counts!
