THE FREE ART PROJECT

A multi-faceted grassroots arts program, which includes a series of showcases, open mics and various networking events, as well as an array of educational workshops that are free & open to the public.



The main objective of our campaign is to raise the funds needed to fix the basement  at el fogon. We have access to a basement space that needs cleaning and small repairs. The extra space will allow us to expand our programming. 


Education is a pathway to greater opportunity. In under-served communities, the need for comprehensive arts and mentorship programming is particularly acute. My vision is to continue youth programming and development through the Artist Collective and expand this programming into a consistent schedule, time, space run by a full team. There is a need for safe spaces, spaces where youth and the community come together to cultivate skills and expression through creative outlets. , The Artist Collective aims to develop the minds of future leaders, artists, inventors, entrepreneurs and innovators. It is my life-long commitment and passion to empower youth with tools to escape the pitfalls of dire societal circumstances to create healthy and engaging opportunities.

My long-term vision is that the Artist Collective grow into a recreational community hub that functions as a self-sustaining space and expands throughout the boroughs of New York metro area. This space will host the current programs hosted through the Artist Collective and beyond, including a resource center, recording studio, gallery and art workshopping space, and garden.
