Theasa's Medical Fund

On October 29th, my cousin Theasa and her partner John were in a tragic motorcycle accident. An SUV coming from the opposite direction veered off the road flipping over the barrier and entered into oncoming traffic. They had a brief moment before the collision took place and they said their "Goodbyes." John used his body as a shield and on impact, he gave his life to save hers. Theasa survived but with a fractured hip, a broken leg, a crushed foot, and bleeding on the brain. She had multiple surgeries while in ICU until they got her to a stable condition.
Had the accident happened a week later she would have had insurance through her job but had not yet qualified. She is now waiting to have surgery to remove the pins protruding from the bottom of her foot and begin reconstructive surgery. She is currently unable to work, is ridden to a wheelchair, unable to care for her family, and potentially evicted from her home. Theasa's children, ages 17, 15, and 8, are living with my mother. The oldest has a job and is helping out with what she can, but my parents, my mother specifically, is caring for them on a daily basis.
The hospital will not proceed with the surgery until it can be paid for. Funds raised would first be put toward the surgery itself and IF anything is left over the remaining would go to ensure the children are adequately cared for during the holiday season.
