The "A" Team

Hello!  Thanks for visiting The “A” Team’s GoFundMe page!  Our team is made up of teenagers Andrew Donohue and Ava Hardy, both of whom are living life fully with cerebral palsy, along with their volunteer coaches Jaime Toner and Matt Cook.  Using assistive running equipment called a RaceRunner, Andrew and Ava compete regularly in road races.  To date, they have completed an impressive total of forty 5Ks, eight 10Ks, two 10-milers, a half-marathon and four sprint triathlons!  As they strive to redefine what is possible, their positive attitudes and determination are inspirations on the race course and off.
 
Although RaceRunning is a rapidly growing sport in Europe, and will soon be an official Paralympic track and field event, the sport has received little attention in the United States.  The “A” Team is out to change that! 
Our goal is to represent the U.S. this summer in the 19th International RaceRunner Training Camp and Cup in Denmark, which will include athletes from more than a dozen countries.  We are honored to be among only three American RaceRunners to attend this competition.  Please consider making a donation to help us carry the United States flag into the opening ceremony of this year's RaceRunner Cup.
