Theatre in the X 2017

Donation protected
Theatre in the X provides the people of West Philadelphia and the African American community at large the opportunity to see professional quality theater in their own neighborhood for no cost. By removing the barriers of location and price the audience is able to experience theater that they possibly would not be able to access otherwise.

Because our shows are free and open to the public we don't have ticket sales revenue to rely on. We rely on the generous donations of people like you to keep Theatre in the X continue to grow.

For the Summer 2017 presentation we will be premiering "Running Numbers" by Cheyenne Barboza, directed by Christina May.

Inspired by the poem, "Financial Aid" by Carvens Lissaint, Running Numbers is a drama about an inner-city high school senior whose dreams and desperation of going to college and overcoming his environment lead him to fast cash and dangerous situations.
