The Black Hat Project

The Black Hat is a project founded by Last Bus Club & Invoice Pdx with the goal of opening an innovative artistic hub in Portland Oregon. The Black Hat will be a space that supports artists and the art community by providing studio space, resources, art supplies and the lowest showing commission in the business. In addition, it will function as a gallery and event space that serves Portland with fresh, forward-thinking exhibitions and productions. The Black Hat will be a one of a kind addition to the Portland art community and an asset to artists and makers of all kinds.

Invoice Pdx and Last Bus Club began collaborating in 2015 when they constructed a unique parking lot art event using a painted van and pallets to create a temporary art space.(One Stop Shop, 2015)

Since this point, Invoice PDX and Last Bus Club have continued to produce, construct and curate unique artist driven events in an effort to foster the Portland arts community.
