Black Owned Business Employing the Disenfranchised

Keedran Franklin is an artist and activist in Memphis, TN working for environmental and racial justice. He recently founded The Check In, a mobile coffee shop serving as a social-distancing friendly community activist cross pollination zone and a place to renew and restore meaning to folks who might be burnt out in efforts to dismantle racism and end systemic oppression. He dreams of having a fleet of ten mobile trucks serving the greater Memphis community, owned and operated by released felons who have otherwise been excluded from economic opportunities. The trucks would teach soft skills and give opportunities to the 40% apathetic vote(disenfranchised by their felon status). Let's support Keedran's vision! Thank you.
The plan is to put together ten coffee service trucks for $10k a piece.
Then hire 3 people per truck to handle day to day operations, alongside receiving Literacy training, soft skills and a chance to be worker owners of the Venture..
Also included wil be a 2% profit donation toward Social-Causes.
This is truly a Social-Enterprise geared to empower the people that are highly impacted.

Supporting this vision will mean a second chance for those who have been left behind by the systemically racist criminal injustice system. A chance for them to create positive change in their community and help bring about a time of resilience for those who have been all too often forgotten and marginalized.
Your support is an act of grassroots reparations for centuries of trauma against Black, Indigenous and People of Color. We will only heal, as a collective community, through thoughtful and generous support, given in the spirit of loving-kindness to those who have been systematically oppressed.
