Coach Aaron Feis Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
Coach Aaron Feis was tragically killed on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School as he threw himself in front of bullets to shield students.
In an attempt to keep his memory alive and inspire the very football players to whom he dedicated many years of his life, I worked with the Douglas Gridiron Club, Coach Willis May, and Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School guidance office to create the Coach Aaron Feis Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduating member of the football team who exhibits characteristics representative of who Coach Feis was and the traits he valued. The player should:
• Have a big heart
• Have a great work ethic
• Have great character
• Put the team and others before themselves
• Be generous
• Earn at least 2.5 GPA
• Graduate in the top half of their class
The scholarship will be awarded to the player that fits these characteristics in an amount left up to the discretion of the school, football coaching staff, and Feis family.
Funds donated will go to the Coach Aaron Feis Scholarship Fund and the Douglas Gridiron Club to memorialize his love for the Stoneman Douglas Eagles.
Funds will be managed by Mandy Goodman as she is the treasurer of the Douglas Gridiron Club.
