Support for Marci and Her Kids

For anyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting my Sistor (as I call her), you know how quick-witted, intelligent, sarcastic, funny, loving and amazing Marci is. You also know that she has a huge heart and would give anyone anything she had to offer--including the shirt off her back--if she thought it would make their life even the slightest bit better. This amazing woman has touched the lives of so many people and will continue to do so through her career as a nurse, and as a friend. As many of you may already know, or have recently discovered, Marci was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer and will soon begin her long and arduous journey to fight off this monster. It seems so unfair that someone who has given so much, helped so many people, and worked so hard to be the best person they can be, has to face something so terrible. While we know Marci will fight AND defeat this beast, it's going to be hard--physically, mentally, and financially. We (her family) have chosen to create this account so that all those who love her can help show their support by donating to this fund we have created. One of the biggest battles in this war she is facing will be supporting herself and her family while receiving treatment. Far too many people know how costly and physically draining the treatment for cancer can be, and, as a mother to many (both by birth and by choice), Marci has several children who still depend on her, 3 of whom still live at home. While she has always provided for those who need her, she won't always be able to do it alone this time. Any money collected will go directly to Marci and be used to support her and her family and help pay her bills during this difficult time. Marci has an incredible support system, and I know she is grateful for all the kind words and love she has already received. Her family also appreciates all those who love and support her and thank all those who consider donating to her cause. We know Marci will fight and defeat cancer, all while keeping her much-loved sense of humor and that gorgeous smile that warms our hearts!
