Help the Granby Newspaper Launch!

Established in 1939, The Spectator was Granby's award-winning student print newspaper. The paper covered sports, the arts, and student opinions, and even featured advice columns and cartoon strips. However, around 2014, it stopped publishing.
My name is Tina Li, and I'm one of the senior editors of the newspaper. We've been working hard to relaunch The Spectator with a brand-new digital website format, and more and more students are showing up to our staff meetings each week, excited to help start this paper.
However, starting a newspaper requires a lot of money. We've already got a $500 grant towards establishing our online website, but we still need more funds for maintaining our domain, paying for promotional materials, and covering printing costs when we're ready to start print editions. We also want to begin accumulating club funds so next year's subscriptions are covered and the turnover is smoother after seniors graduate.
We hope you'll consider supporting our goal of bringing student journalism back to Granby High School. You can follow up on what we're up to at @thegranbyspectator on Instagram!
