Replacing Stolen Community Tools
Donation protected
The Humble Makers is a new makerspace in the Northeast Houston area. After a month of setting up, we were just about ready to open on May 1st when the unthinkable happened. Late Wednesday night, April 26th, thieves broke in, disabled the cameras, and stole $5,000 worth of power tools, computers, and our laser cutter.
As a non-profit organization, just starting out in the community, this is a tough blow. But, we are dedicated to our opening date and are trying to raise money to replace the tools that were stolen.
KHOU 11 segment on our organization and the break-in
We are trying to create a place in the community, for the community, and by the community - where people can learn, collaborate, and have access to tools and other resources you wouldn't normal have the money or space for at your home or apartment.
Thank you for your considerations and donations.
