The Ivy Fund

My name is Kari Bartels and I am a neighbor and friend of the Ivy family.  Many of you know sweet Tina Ivy. Tina was diagnosed 6 years ago with a very rare kidney cancer.

Tina's prognosis was 6 months, but her husband, Matt, became her advocate which blessed us with 6 more years. Over that time period, Matt worked tirelessly researching and learning everything that he could find out about Tina's cancer.  Two weeks ago, tragedy struck the family again when Matt was overcome with pneumonia and pancreatitis.  Matt has been in intensive care for the past 2 weeks.

Sadly, Tina passed away while Matt was in an induced coma - he missed saying good-bye and seeing her one last time.

This is tragic on so many levels and now I am asking everyone that I know to please reach out to this family with your prayers, your thoughts - and with your financial support . The medical and funeral expenses are overwhelming and will undoubteldy present added hardships in the coming days.  

We all take our lives with our families for granted. This family has lost so much in such a short time.  Please do what you can to help.
