#TheJProject- Join Jill's Journey

Jill Bruun is a mother of 4, a grandmother of 7, a loving daughter, a follower of Jesus and a friend to many. Our mom is kind, funny, loving, generous and tough. (Even if at times she doesn't know it.) She's a survivor and I hope with all your help, we can remind her of how many people are behind her and with her, and that with faith in Jesus and others....we can help Jill bring back her Joy. Our mom has had some tough things thrown her way, but this new diagnosis really took us all by total surprise. Jill became single unexpectedly around 9 years ago and had to start life over at 50. She was terrified. But she saddled up, and went to school for the first time since she graduated highschool and earned her Medical Assisting Degree. She went back into the workforce, got a new home by herself and things were looking up. You see, for all my and my siblings life, my mom's life revolved solely around us. She stayed home with us from birth till graduation and had a in-home daycare in order to do so. Our mom isn't your average mom either, now with 4 kids of my own, I strive everyday to make them feel half as special as she made us 4 all feel everyday. She was the note on your napkin, in your lunch, everyday kind of mom. And she's no different as our kids grandma. After a little while of working though, she developed gastroparesis, a stomach illness that causes constant nauseau and vomiting. There is no cure, but with medicine, it lessens the symptoms to some extent, but not enough to work in a medical office. So she was forced to quit. Jill then became a full-time nanny to make ends meet. Even though she's sick a lot, she still takes all our kids to practice when she can, and never misses a game, a party or a performance. Then last Thursday, she got a mammagram, because she was having some breast pain and got told it looked suspicious. She was called in for a biopsy on Friday and then yesterday, she got the call everyone dreads, "it's cancer." All of this in less than one week. Our mom has talked with others who have had this same type of breast cancer and it is going to be a fight. She will need surgery for sure and most likely chemo and radiation. Jill will have no source of income for normal bills, not to mention extra health costs. The Joy from Jill's voice is gone. I'm praying, as are many, for Jesus to not only heal her, but bring her Joy and Hope back through this Journey she's starting. That is our #TheJProject. Please consider helping Jill, our mom, our best friend and donate to this account, which will help alleviate the added stress of financial worries. This money will go to pay her medical bills and home expenses, as she is without income. Our mom has always given 100% of herself to everyone, please give to her! Words could never express how much this means to all of her kids, grandkids, parents and Jill! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
