Two fans, one Hillman Imp and a unique pilgrimage to Lisbon to celebrate the defining moment in Celtic Football Club’s history.
To mark the 50th anniversary of the defining moment in Celtic Football Club’s history we will be embarking on a unique pilgrimage to Lisbon. A road trip with a difference, following two fans who plan to retrace the same route to the Estadio Nacional as the Celticade once did, journeying through France and across the Pyrenees into Spain before arriving in Lisbon on the 25th May 2017. And just like John Quinn they’re doing it in the comfort of a classic 1967 Hillman imp.
Our two fans, Martin and Barry are making the trip in memory of their fathers, both Celtic fans who never made it to Lisbon. This film is the fans story and will pay homage to the Lisbon Lions and their achievements 50 years on. Along the Lions Road we will capture the story of that team, all local boys from a 30 mile radius, transformed by the innovative genius of their great manager into one of the finest teams in Europe. We’ll take a trip back to 67’, the summer of love. The only things on the minds of Celtic and their fans was football. They had no time for sex, drugs and rock n roll. They had to get to the game.
Join us and help us make the film to celebrate that great team.
