Thelma’s Leg Surgery
Donation protected
We rescued Thelma and Louise and have every intention of providing them the best life. When we picked them up, we were advised Thelma had a niacin deficiency and had just recently stopped walking. We took her to our local vet a few days later after her walking did not improve and were advised she has a broken leg that healed, however she would need surgery to be able to walk again. We went to an exotic vet and was handed an estimate for euthanasia. This is unacceptable for us. Instead we are waiting for a different vet to return to the office this week to give us a concrete estimate for surgery. If referred to Auburn Vet the costs can exceed $2500. We are trying to raise money to help with the cost as the same vet who handed us a euthanasia estimate also said she could make a 100% recovery if she had the surgery. We intend to fix her as she is one of the family.
