Theo's SDR Surgery & Therapies

Welcome to our page, thanks to an amazing response we have managed to book Theo's SDR Surgery & now we will continue to raise funds towards Theo's aftercare therapies & physio sessions.
We were informed from an early stage that Theo's brain damage was so severe that it was unlikely he would walk, talk or even be able to feed himself.
The last 6 years we have put all our time into making sure Theo proved the doctors wrong, and so far he's learnt to talk, he's managed to walk within a specialised walker and most recently he is learning to independently feed himself. Although this is great progress as Theo is growing his muscles in his legs are becoming tighter and more painful and are affecting him in ways that only surgery can help relieve him of the pain.
We have recently been accepted for a life changing surgery called SDR at Alderhey hospital at a cost of £16000, and once he has had the surgery he will need to have regular therapy sessions for him to get the best results from the operation.
This surgery would take away the tightness in his muscles, stop his legs from scissoring, and more importantly take away the pain he is in daily and his sleep would become undisturbed.
A big thing that could come from this surgery is Theo would be able to begin to learn to walk and hopefully get back to playing frame football which is his favourite activity!
Thank you for reading Theo's story and any help towards his goal would be appreciated by us all.
Thank you.
