Ott Family Mission Trip
Spende geschützt
In a Nutshell... We desire to serve Christ, together as a family, in Costa Rica this summer and invite you to serve Christ in Costa Rica through partnering with us financially. Our support is due May 12th. Whatever funds we raise will determine how many of us will go.
The Whole Story...
The Ott Family loves Jesus and we love having Him serve through us! Christ has used us individually through preaching, church planting, street ministry, prison ministry, directing and counseling at Victory Valley Camp, serving in youth and children’s ministry, teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, AWANA and Pioneer Clubs, organizing ministry events, conducting God honoring political campaigns and even making coffee on Sunday morning for teachers... each of us serving as the Lord equips and allows. This summer, we have the rare opportunity to serve together! We are writing to ask for your help with our ongoing discipleship and to tell you what's about to happen.
Stephanie has taken the gospel to about a dozen nations. Haleigh (age 20), has served Jesus in the jungles of Bolivia and with her Momma among the Muslim refugees in Greece. Zac (age 19) served last summer at a Christian camp in the French Alps. But for Scott, and Jonah (age 16), this will be their first adventure outside the U.S. sharing the love and mercy of Jesus.
We're teaming up with a Costa Rican church called Comunidad Internacional de Adoración -- International Community of Praise -- to bring the gospel to their new neighborhood in at least three ways.
1) Morning and Evening Vacation Bible School for children ages 3-to-14
2) Two Community events
3) Door-to-door evangelism
Our hope is that the five Otts will board a plane in Dallas bound for Liberia, Costa Rica, on July 4 this year along with 30 fellow members of Frisco Bible Church. Costa Rica is a Spanish-speaking Central American nation -- south of Nicaragua and north of Panama. The town of Liberia, where we’ll live for a week, is in the northwest region, toward the Pacific Ocean side.
We Need Your Help--Both Praying and Giving
PRAY: As this is written, Stephanie is recovering from ankle surgery, so please pray that she'll be walking well by July 4. Also, please ask the Lord to give us willing hearts to serve in any way needed. Finally, I know we're going to Costa Rica to help others, but we are acutely aware of our own daily need for help, so pray that the Lord will use this work to shape each of us as devoted followers of Christ.
All of this is intended to help the local church connect with the community, and the people of the area connect with Christ. We get to worship with the church, and some of us will also teach our Costa Rican fellow believers...though we are certain to learn more than they will.
GIVE: The cost is $1,700 per person, $8500 for our family. We’re praying to raise the $8500 by May 5th so the team leader can start buying plane tickets and other essentials. Can you help today?
Whether you can give $10, $100, $500, $1,000 or more, or if your only available resource is prayer, your willing spirit is precious in the sight of the Lord. We think of you as a crucial team member, without whom we simply could not do this. Although our church team will be in Costa Rica, the mission team will consist of those supporting us through financial gifts and prayer, including you.
You can Click above on the Go Fund Me Donation button, write a check to Frisco Bible Church and put "Ott Family - Costa Rica" in the memo line, or visit http://CostaRica2015FriscoBible.blogspot.com/ and click the big “Donate” button on the right side. If you'd rather use PayPal, you can send a contribution to [E-Mail ausgeblendet] and Scott will forward it to the church, although gifts via PayPal and Go Fund Me are not tax deductible.
We're all grateful for your love, your prayers, and your financial generosity in the cause of Christ.
Alive in Christ...
