The Purple Flame- Easthampton Business Mutual Aid
Donation protected
Hello, we are The Purple Flame of Easthampton, MA. This is a grassroots movement, that is launching to help save the businesses of our small city, Easthampton, MA. With the current global health crisis, it is important for us to close our doors, and allow for some distancing to further protect our community.
This was a difficult decision to make, but one that needed to be done for the greater good. During this time we will be unable to earn income, to keep our doors open, and to be there for you when this all returns to normal.
I personally have spent my life with a "raised fist" trying to "demand action". However, as a life long artist, I am much better creating. So it is time to create action.
This mutual aid network has been set up in the quickest way possible to help with relief for the small businesses in our community. So please excuse the lack of fancy graphics currently... this is about action.
This aid will benefit the businesses of our city that join this network. It will allow the businesses to pay rent, help employees, and ensure that we will be here for you when we are able to open. We will be taking all of the funds raised during this campaign, and distributing it equally amongst the participating businesses, on April 24th, 2020. While we had originally decided on April 3rd, the order for all "non-essential" businesses to remain closed was extended to May 4th. So, we adapted as well!
This support will mean everything to us, as we have dedicated our lives to providing you with a wide variety of services, and products.
This is also an urgent call to action, if businesses begin to close for good, the effects will be felt much further than the households of the small businesses and workers of this city.
It is time for us to all come together, and support Easthampton. We are stronger together.
If you are able to donate, any amount would be appreciated. If you are unable to donate, simply share this campaign via social media. When sharing this campaign, please use #smallbusinessrelief
If you are a local business interested in joining this campaign, simply contact us! We would love for you support in helping to spread awareness of our campaign! We would like to help as many of our local friends as possible, so we will be capping off our list of businesses on Saturday, March 28th.
Let's all take action together!
