Therapy dog for Calvin

Donation protected
Calvin had his first seizure at 6 months.  It took 10 more months to be diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome.
He will not outgrow this.  He will face many different challenges in his life.  He needs constant supervision day and night.
Calvin's family strives to live like a typical "normal" family the best they can.  They have learned a lot.  They have made tough decisions and sacrifices along the way.    They take one day at a time and always celebrate the good days.
Calvin is now 3 years old.  Calvin's need for constant supervision could be greatly eased by the addition of a trained seizure dog.  (Currently , he can't play alone in his room, he has to be near his mom, dad or caregiver at all times... That means when she is doing dishes or cooking, etc, he has to stay with her instead of going off to play)  A seizure dog would allow Calvin to leave his caregivers side.  The dog would allow Calvin to play with his brother and friends out of his mothers sight.  It would allow him to go swimming with friends.  Having a trained seizure dog would help Calvin and his family so much.
A month ago, Calvin's cousins Jacki and Natalea along with their friend Ellie (age 11, 13 and 10)  decided they wanted to do what they could to raise money for Calvin to be able to get his dog.  They decided to organize a "Fun" raiser to raise money.  (The girls still think it is called a FUN raiser!!  ( I love it))

We realized that there were many people out there who would love to help Calvin, but would not be able to attend the FUN raiser.   We started this GoFUNdme to help reach that goal.  The dogs are expensive, plus the added expense of going away for two weeks to be trained with the dog means Mom missing work as well as travel and lodging.
Thank you for helping those three girls help Calvin and his family reach there goal of getting a life changing seizure dog.
