Therapy Dogs for Sick Children
Donation protected
Dear friends and supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my beloved 15-year-old daughter, Olivia. She fought bravely against a terminal illness for over two years, but unfortunately, she lost her battle recently. The pain of her loss is immeasurable, but in this difficult time, I am determined to honor her memory and help others who are going through similar struggles.
My daughter had a special love for animals, and especially for dogs. She found comfort in their presence, and I witnessed firsthand the positive impact they had on her emotional wellbeing during her hospital stays. Therefore, in her memory, I am starting a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for dog therapy for children suffering from terminal illnesses in hospitals.
The funds raised will go towards bringing trained therapy dogs to hospitals to provide comfort and companionship to children facing similar struggles to my daughter. Research has shown that therapy dogs can help alleviate anxiety, reduce pain, and improve the overall emotional wellbeing of patients, especially children.
I believe that my daughter would be proud of this initiative, and that she would want to help other children find comfort in the same way that she did. I am grateful for any support that you can provide, whether it be through a donation or by sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these children and honor the memory of my beautiful daughter.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
Sincerely,
Robb Evans, Olivia's Dad
