Therapy for Maggie Kicking CASK
Donation protected
Our sweet girl Maggie was diagnosed with a super rare genetic disorder at 8 months old. CASK gene disorder has a great impact on Maggie's day-to-day life. Currently, at almost 2.5 years old, Maggie cannot sit independently, is non-ambulatory, nonspeaking [but definitely verbal :) ], and relies on a g-tube for nutrition. Along with her physical abilities, she has a very rare form of epilepsy, vision loss and hearing loss.
Our ultimate goal for Maggie is to be as happy and independent as possible! Some of the best ways to improve Maggie's skills are through intensive therapies. Participating in 3-4 week therapies is known to help in leaps of development, physically and cognitively. Unfortunately, a lot of research-based therapies are not covered by insurance and come at a very high cost. Not only are these therapies expensive, but there are always travel costs involved as they are not local to us. These costs are not financially sustainable for us without reaching out for help. If you feel led to donate we truly appreciate it. Thank you so much to our community for always supporting and loving our girl, Maggie.
