Therapy for our fantastic Evie Jenkins

My friend, Priscilla and I are taking part in the VHI Women's Mini Marathon 2022 to raise funds for Evie's ongoing therapy.

 

Our beautiful daughter, Evie, was diagnosed with Aicardi syndrome at eight weeks old. The diagnosis changed our lives forever! Evie has a visual impairment, suffers from daily seizures, is currently in a wheelchair and is non-verbal.

 

Now a feisty four-year-old, Evie brings so much joy to everyone she meets, regardless of the challenges she faces every day. She continually surprises us all with her achievements and we couldn't be more proud of our beautiful girl.

 

Evie attends an Anat Baniel therapist on an ongoing basis and has been offered an intensive week of sessions in Zurich in October. She has already surpassed many goals we thought were unachievable. She is very close to sitting independently and crawling, and is developing her communication skills every day.
